1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating decks (company name, industry, etc.), account information (email, name), and standard analytics data (page views, device type). We do not sell your personal information.
When you share a deck through a personalized link, or send a follow-up email from PitchDeck.net, we record when the deck is viewed and when the email is opened, and show this to the deck owner. If someone shares a deck with you, the owner can see when you view it or open an email about it.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to generate and edit your decks, maintain your account, process payments, and support you.
Unless you turn it off in Settings, we also use content you create to improve the service, as described in our Terms of Service. This includes your decks and the edits you make to AI-generated slides. We do not sell your data, and we do not show your content to other customers.
Company information and deck content are sent to our AI providers to generate and check slides.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in encrypted databases. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Payment information is handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Anthropic and Google Gemini (AI generation and slide checks), Amazon Web Services (hosting and image storage), Stripe (payments), Sentry (error tracking), Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (site analytics), and Google (sign-in). Each has its own privacy policy governing its use of your data.
5. Data Retention
Your decks and account data are kept while your account is active. You can delete individual decks at any time. Records of edits we keep to improve the service are deleted with the deck or account, and in any case within 24 months. For a deck audit, we keep the report, not the deck. Contact us to request full account deletion.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in and session management. We also use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which sets analytics cookies to help us understand how the site is used.
